Beta features

Some of Cora's newest integrations are in Beta. We're still testing them, so some readings or controls may be limited and what you see can change between updates.

Who gets Beta

Beta access belongs to your Cora account. It's switched on by us, for an account, and you can't turn it on yourself in Settings. Being in a store testing programme doesn't switch it on either. To ask, write to support from the email on your account.

Once your account is a Beta user, the Beta rows show up in Add device on Cora Mobile. You don't need to restart the app.

If you're not a Beta user, Add device lists Cora, Neptune™ Apex, Red Sea™, Jecod™ and AquaWiz™. Equipment you've already linked stays on your Devices tab.

The Beta integrations

Each one is added from Devices → Add Device. A row marked Requires Cora Max is greyed out until the tank has a Cora Max, because that Cora Max does the reading.

Labelled Beta, open to everyone

A few features carry (Beta) in their name but don't need Beta access. Everyone sees them.

  • Large doses (Beta) on a DŌS head, described in Controlling your equipment
  • Dosing plan (Beta) on a ReefDose
  • Pump schedule (Beta) on a ReefRun
  • ReefMat settings (Beta) and New roll (Beta) on a ReefMat

What Beta means day to day

  • A Beta page may not match this guide the week after an update. If something doesn't work as described, tell us from Getting help.
  • Some commands go through the maker's own servers or app, which Cora doesn't control. The page says so where it matters.
  • Equipment we haven't been able to test on real hardware is marked as such.

Cora Max shows the Beta devices your account has linked. See Devices and device health.
