Livestock
Livestock records what the tank holds (corals, fish and invertebrates) together with when each item was added and its current status. Open it from the shortcut row at the bottom of the dashboard.
The summary
At the top:
- Inventory Summary: totals by broad category, such as corals, fish and inverts
- Losses: how many entries have been marked lost in the last 90 days
Entries are grouped by type (SPS coral, LPS coral, soft coral, fish and so on), each showing its quantity and the date it was added.
Show Lost in the top bar includes items no longer in the tank.
Adding something
Each entry takes:
- Name: what you call it
- Type: SPS coral, LPS coral, soft coral, fish, invertebrate, anemone, or other
- Species: optional, if you know it
- Quantity: for a group, like a shoal or a frag pack
- Date added: defaults to today
- Notes: supplier, placement, cost, or any other detail you want to keep
What happened to it
Every entry carries a status:

| Alive | Still in the tank |
| Lost | Died |
| Fragged | Cut up; the colony continues |
| Sold | Went to someone else |
| Moved | In another of your tanks |
Marking an item lost records the date and, optionally, a reason. Recording losses consistently is what makes patterns visible later: losses concentrated in one area of the tank, or following a particular event.
Livestock and the rest of Cora
Your livestock load is part of what your parameters are assessed against; a heavily stocked SPS system and a lightly stocked softie tank are not held to the same standard.
You can also ask about it. "When did I add the hammer coral?" or "What have I lost this year?" are answered from this record.
